Kalki 2898 AD: Theme Of Kalki from Prabhas-starrer to be out soon!

Ahead of the massive theatrical release, the makers of the Prabhas-starrer upcoming sci-fi magnum opus Kalki 2898 AD have been unveiling several promotional treats, including new character posters. Now, they have announced that the second single from the magnum opus, titled Theme Of Kalki, will be unveiled tomorrow, June 24, 2024, at Lord Krishna’s birthplace, Mathura, in Uttar Pradesh. 

The makers also revealed an ethereal image from the lakes of Mathura as the team gears up to release the much-anticipated song. The film's original background score and soundtracks are composed by popular Tamil composer Santhosh Narayanan. 

Earlier, the makers released the energetic single Bhairava Anthem, performed by Diljit Dosanjh and Santhosh Narayanan. Details of the new theme song are expected to be revealed soon.

Will Santhosh Narayanan be able to create a lasting impression?

 Although Kollywood fans are excited to have the talented composer on board for the upcoming cinematic masterpiece, many Telugu fans have expressed doubts about Santhosh Narayanan’s ability to create a powerful music score. Following the release of the trailer, netizens discussed the composition, stating that it lacked the high-point and hook tune required to enhance the musical experience. While some argued that Santhosh’s score aligns with the narrative, many viewers anticipate a background score with repeat value. 

That being said, it is too early to judge Santhosh’s work before the film's release. Santhosh has previously delivered impressive scores for Kabali, Vada Chennai, Mahaan, Chittha, and others. While Kalki presents a different theme and nature, it offers a new challenge for the talented composer. Therefore, it is wise to wait for the film's release on the big screen before doubting his work. The responsibility is now on him to deliver.

Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the upcoming spectacle stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Anna Ben, and Disha Patani in key roles. The censor board recently cleared the upcoming Telugu science-fiction film Kalki 2898 AD for theatrical release with a U/A certificate. The film is slated to hit cinemas on June 27, 2024.
