    Nag Ashwin and Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD, which was released in theatres worldwide on June 27, set records with its box office opening figures. And audiences have been raving about the film. One of the things that is gaining a lot of attention are the several cameo appearances, which have been received with whistles and cheers on the big screens. Mrunal Thakur is one such actor who has a cameo in Kalki 2898 AD. She plays the character Divya.

    Mrunal, who earlier collaborated with Kalki 2898 AD's production banner, Vyjayanthi Movies, for her Telugu debut blockbuster film Sita Ramam (2022), has spoken about the movie. The actress said, “When I was approached for Kalki, I didn’t even take a minute to say yes. I have immense faith in producers Aswani Dutt, Swapna Dutt, and Priyanka. Our successful collaboration in Sita Ramam made this an easy decision. And being part of this mammoth of a project and this absolute visionary filmmaking was something I knew I had to be part of.”

    Mrunal plays the role of Divya in the film, a pregnant woman who is killed by Saswata Mukherjee’s character.

There is also Vijay Deverakonda as Arjuna from the Mahabharata, Malvika Nair as Uttara, and Krishnakumar Subramanian as Lord Krishna (dubbing by actor Arjun Das), among others.
