Kalki 2898 AD: Meet Kyra aka Malayalam actress Anna Ben from Prabhas-starrer

It's Kalki fever everywhere and we cannot contain our excitement over the upcoming sci-fi action drama. Ahead of its grand release, the makers of Kalki 2898 AD took to their social media handles to unveil the character poster of Malayalam actress Anna Ben from the Prabhas-starrer. 

Anna Ben’s ‘The Lucky Rebel’ Kyra

Introducing her character as ‘Kyra’- The Lucky Rebel, the new poster showcases a fierce Anna racing in a futuristic humanoid vehicle. The intense character poster along with the intriguing tagline ‘The Lucky Rebel’ has evoked a lot of excitement among fans who are thrilled to see the young Mollywood talent on board the Prabhas-starrer.

Anna Ben on working in Kalki 2898 AD

Earlier in a conversation with movie critic Baradwaj Rangan, the actress opened up about her experience of working in the magnum opus. She revealed that she had an amazing experience, and said that it was ‘crazy’ as she had stunt sequences. The actress also noted that while her Tamil debut film Kottukaali only had a total of 50 people on the sets, while shooting Kalki AD 2898 there were at least 50 in each scene sequence.

Kalki 2898 AD gets U/A certification and a big thumbs up from Censor Board

Recently, the censor board had cleared Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, for theatrical release with a U/A certificate. According to some reports, the Nag Ashwin directorial impressed the members of the censor board. The censor board members were amazed by the stunning visuals of the film and wholeheartedly appreciated the crew, as per reports. The makers have approximately spent a whopping Rs 600 crore for making this sci-fi actioner. However, they seem to have taken a lighter approach in promoting the film. 

Besides Prabhas and Anna Ben, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. Kalki 2898 AD is slated to hit the cinemas on June 27, 2024.
