Kalki 2898 AD: Bhairava Anthem brings together Prabhas and Diljit Dosanjh in an energetic Telugu-Punjabi number | Watch

After a slight delay, the much-awaited video song ‘Bhairava Anthem’ from Prabhas and Nag Ashwin’s most anticipated sci-fi action-drama Kalki 2898 AD has been released. The makers, who had earlier dropped the audio version of the song, took to their social media handles to share the full video song and netizens cannot get over it already!

After teasing the fans with an energetic promo, the makers have finally dropped the full video song of the first single from the dystopian actioner. The new peppy number is a combination of Telugu and Punjabi lyrics and has brought two powerhouse talents – Prabhas and Diljit Dosanjh together for the first time! The energetic number features the two stars grooving to the beats of Punjabi-Telugu mix which is now loved by fans! 

Composed by popular musician Santhosh Narayanan, the new track has also been released in Telugu and Tamil. The Telugu lyrics of the song have been penned by Ramajogayya Sastry and Vivek, Tamil lyrics by Kumaar and Vivek, and Hindi lyrics by Kumaar.

 Kalki 2898 AD is slated to have a worldwide release on June 27, 2024.

The trailer of the upcoming sci-fi action thriller, which was released earlier, presented a mix of dystopian era and Mahabharata. The trailer opened up many fan theories and assumptions. The intriguing glimpse began by showcasing the distant land of Kashi, which now has all the amenities that humans once enjoyed—like food, water, and shelter—while people from faraway lands are seen suffering and deprived of these necessities.

The common people are seen bowing down to the leader, played by Saswata Chatterjee, who believes himself superior to all. The trailer then introduces Deepika Padukone, carrying a child destined to change the future. Amitabh Bachchan’s Ashwatthama aids Deepika’s character in the glimpse. Upon learning of this potential threat, the supreme leader sets out to capture her.  

Prabhas, as Bhairava, appears in a stylish role and is determined to protect the mother-to-be. We also get a glimpse of actress Shobana and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan as Kali. Disha Patani who is rumoured to be playing the role of Prabhas' love interest will be essaying the role of Roxie in the Nag Ashwin directorial.
