KA is one of the biggest hits of Deepavali this year in Telugu cinema, and ETV Win has secured the streaming rights. Following the prevailing trend in the South Indian film industry, the film is expected to arrive on streaming soon.

Most new South Indian movies make their streaming debut after just four weeks in theatres. KA opened in cinemas on October 31, so based on industry standards, we can expect it to start streaming by late November or early December.

Although there’s been substantial opposition to these early streaming releases in Telugu cinema, producers hold significant power over other industry stakeholders, enabling them to make deals that align with their financial interests. However, according to industry buzz, this trend may see some changes starting next year.

In the meantime, KA has emerged as one of the biggest Telugu hits of the year. Despite its non-star cast and the involvement of a team of newcomers, the film has earned hit status at the box office. Made on a modest budget, it collected over Rs 18 crore within its first four days. In the Telugu states alone, it grossed over Rs 13 crore during its opening weekend. Given the movie's modest budget, it has already been declared a box-office success.

KA managed to thrive despite competition from Dulquer Salmaan’s Lucky Bhaskar and Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran. Positive reviews and strong word-of-mouth helped sustain its momentum and success at the box office.

Set in a fictional village in the late 70s, KA features a unique storyline. In this village, the sun sets every day at 3 PM, plunging the area into an extended night filled with mystery and fear. With each sunset, terror descends on the village along with a mysterious visitor, leading to intense action sequences. A simple postman seems to be the only force standing between this dark threat and the villagers. Written and directed by Sujith-Sandeep, the film stars Kiran Abbavaram, Nayan Sarika, and Tanvi Ram in the lead roles.
