Telugu superstar Jr NTR surprised fans of RRR at Beyond Fest, where he promoted his latest movie Devara: Part 1. During a screening of RRR at the festival, NTR received a rousing welcome from fans in the film festival.

Speaking about Devara, Jr NTR assured the American audience that they would find all the elements they loved in RRR in his new film. "It's deeply rooted, with all the extravaganza of action you loved in RRR. With all the dance moves you loved from RRR. With all the VFX and CGI wonders—I’m sure you all loved the shark there. That’s just the jump. A lot happened before the jump, and obviously after the jump. So, you’re going to enjoy every bit of Devara," he said.

NTR was referring to a scene shown in the Devara trailer, where he rides a shark with a whip in his hand and leaps from the deep waters on the back of the shark.

NTR also expressed his gratitude, thanking the audience for giving him the confidence to present Devara to them.

Beyond Fest played a key role in spreading RRR's popularity among US audiences. The word-of-mouth buzz was so strong that it helped revive the film’s fortunes at the US box office. While North America has traditionally been a strong market for Telugu films due to the large Telugu diaspora, RRR broke new ground, drawing mainstream American audiences to theatres and creating a significant pathway for Indian cinema.

Jr NTR is now working to capitalize on the goodwill he earned from RRR’s US fanbase with Devara. He has started the US promotions on the right note by promising fans another thrilling cinematic treat.

In Devara, Jr NTR plays a dual role. The film is expected to be a visual spectacle, with a large portion of the action sequences shot at sea.
