Jolly O Gymkhana OTT release date: When and where to watch Prabhu Deva’s comedy-drama film

After a lukewarm performance at the box office, the Prabhu Deva-starrer Jolly O Gymkhana is all set to make its digital debut. Directed by Sakthi Chidambaram, the Tamil film stars Prabhu Deva and Madonna Sebastian and revolves around four women who find themselves in possession of a corpse. As confirmed earlier, Aha Tamil had acquired the digital rights to the film, which will be available for streaming on the OTT platform starting December 30, 2024. The OTT platform shared the exciting release date announcement, writing, “Date kurichachu sirika neenga ready ah? 🤷🏻 #Jollyogymkhana premieres from Dec 30th on namma @ahatamil.”

Directed by Sakthi Chidambaram, the latest Tamil comedy-drama features Yashika Aannand, Madonna Sebastian, John Vijay, Sai Dheena, MS Baaskar, Robo Shankar, and Aadukalam Naren, in addition to the lead cast. Yogi Babu plays a pastor in the film, while Madhusudhana Rao portrays the villain. Based on actual events, the story revolves around four women who run a restaurant and unexpectedly find themselves in possession of a corpse.

Upon its initial theatrical release, the film received mixed reviews, with audiences criticizing the flat writing despite an interesting plotline. The movie is expected to reach a wider audience through its OTT release soon.

Director Sakthi Chidambaram had earlier explained that the film's story is about a family from Tenkasi who come across a dead person and are forced to undertake a journey to Kodaikanal. He added that the plot follows their struggles in dealing with the unexpected situation and their efforts to ensure the deceased is given a proper farewell.
