Jersey: Shahid Kapoor shares glimpse of his bond with father Pankaj Kapur in this heartwarming BTS video
Veteran actor Pankaj Kapur will be portraying the role of his son Shahid Kapoor’s on-screen cricket coach in their upcoming sports drama Jersey.
Seven long years after Shaandaar, father-son duo Pankaj Kapur and Shahid Kapoor are all set to reunite on the silver screen in their upcoming film Jersey . A Hindi remake of Nani starrer 2019 Telugu film of the same title, the sports drama follows the story of a 36 year old cricketer who wants to revive his career and play for the Indian national team in order to fulfill his son’s wish for a jersey. While Shahid will be playing the role of Arjun Talwar in the film, Pankaj will be seen as his on-screen coach Madhav Sharma.
Ahead of the release of their much awaited film, Shahid took to his official social media handle today to share a glimpse of the father-son bond on the sets of Jersey. It is beautiful to see how well their chemistry looks on-screen, which is a reflection of their off-screen relationship. In the caption below, the actor wrote, “Jersey will always be special to me… for the experience and memories!” The cutest moment of this clip is where Shahid gives Pankaj a hug for a scene and doesn’t let go even after the camera stops rolling.

By the looks of this behind the scenes video, Shahid had a gala time working with his father, who is undoubtedly one of the most versatile and talented performers of all time. Recently the two graced The Kapil Sharma Show along with co-star Mrunal Thakur during the promotional spree of Jersey. In the episode, when Pankaj made a grand entry, the Kapil joked that Shahid was standing like a kid whose father came to the PTM unannounced.
We love their off-screen bond and now we can’t wait to be blown away by Pankaj and Shahid’s on-screen chemistry when Jersey releases on 22nd April.
