Amid growing speculations about their marriage, actor Jayam Ravi announced on Monday, that he and his wife, Aarti, are separating after 15 years together. The couple, who tied the knot in June 2009, have decided to part ways due to personal reasons, ending weeks of rumours surrounding their relationship.

In an emotional statement shared with his fans and the media, Jayam Ravi emphasized that the decision was made after deep reflection and careful consideration. “Life is a journey filled with various chapters, each presenting its own opportunities and challenges. After much thought, reflection, and discussion, I have taken the difficult decision to proceed with the dissolution of my marriage with Aarti,” he announced.

The actor further clarified that the separation was not a result of impulsive actions, but rather a choice made in the best interest of everyone involved. "I kindly request all of you to respect our privacy as well as that of our family members during this difficult time. I appeal to all of you to refrain from making any assumptions, rumours, or allegations," he requested. 

While the announcement marks the end of a significant chapter in his personal life, Jayam Ravi reassured his fans that his professional commitment remains unchanged. “My priority has always remained the same – to continue bringing joy and entertainment through my films. I am still, and will always be, your Jayam Ravi,” he added, thanking his supporters for their unwavering love throughout his career.
