Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan
Bollywood’s king Shah Rukh Khan has been on a record breaking spree since the beginning of this year. He began by setting standards high with his comeback film Pathaan. Currently, he is busy ruling hearts and the box office with his recently released Jawan. The Atlee Kumar directorial, which also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, broke Pathaan’s record and became Bollywood’s new biggest opener with a collection of Rs 75 crore. It went on to become the fastest Hindi film to reach Rs 250 crore on day 4. The Shah Rukh starrer even passed the Monday test with flying colours.

Well, on day 6 the blockbuster hit slowed down a little at the box office. After collecting Rs 30 crore on Monday, it raked in Rs 26.50 crore on Tuesday. But Jawan still emerged as a winner because it made two new records. According to a report shared by Sacnilk, the Hindi version of Shah Rukh’s action thriller became the 13th film to cross Rs 300 crore net. It is also the fastest Hindi film to reach this milestone, surpassing Pathaan, Sunny Deol’s super hit Gadar 2 and even SS Rajamouli’s Prabhas starrer Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. The current total collection of Jawan in India stands at Rs 345.58 crore.
While Jawan arrived in theatres on a Thursday, Shah Rukh’s comeback film Pathaan had released on a Wednesday. Interestingly, the collection made by both the films on day 6 is Rs 26.50 crore. Like Jawan, Pathaan had also begun to slow down on the 6th day. But we all know the heights it touched in the end. Pathaan successfully entered the Rs 1000 crore club worldwide, and made a lifetime collection of Rs 543.09 crore in India. We are now eagerly waiting to see how SRK’s third release of the year, titled Dunki, will fare. Only time will tell!
