Jawan Box Office Day 4: Shah Rukh Khan’s film scores highest single-day collection, likely to earn this much on Monday

Ever since Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan hit the theatres, it has been shattering records at the box office. The film, which opened in India at Rs 75 crore, has now set a new benchmark by collecting the highest single-day collection on Sunday. The mass entertainer minted Rs 81 crore on the fourth day of release, taking the total collection to Rs 287 crore as per Sacnilk.com.
Directed by Atlee, Jawan’s fever doesn’t seem to die anytime soon as the footfalls are increasing day by day. Even on the first Monday, the collection may see a drop but would be quite remarkable considering it to be a working day as per trade reports. According to Sacnilk.com, the film is expected to earn Rs 30 crore on Day 5 given the buzz and hysteria around the film.
Jawan became the biggest Hindi opener with a Rs 75 crore collection on the first day of release. It has also become the fastest Hindi movie to enter Rs 200 crore. Several celebrities like Mahesh Babu, and Vijay, among others have congratulated Shah Rukh for the success of Jawan. The latest to join the list is actor Jackie Shroff's son Tiger. "Raised the bar and broke the bar! Congratulations Shah Rukh Khan sir on another historic success loads of love always," he tweeted. Shah Rukh responded, "Kya karoon Tiger (What to do Tiger)… no bar is high enough!! Waiting to see u somersault over it with ease… Ha ha… love u and thank u…" For the unversed, Jawan is Shah Rukh’s second release after Pathaan which also broke several records at the box office.
Besides Shah Rukh, Jawan also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. The film also has Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt in cameo roles. Sunil Grover, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Priyamani, Ashlesha Thakur, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan and Aaliyah Qureishi make for the supporting cast. The film was released on September 7, 2023, worldwide in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
