Irrfan Khan's son Babil Khan to feature in Farhan Akhtar's web series? Deets inside
Babil is all set to make his debut with director Anvita Dutt’s Qala which is bankrolled by Anushka Sharma's production banner Clean Slate Filmz.
Late actor Irrfan Khan 's son Babil Khan is reportedly set to feature in producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s web series 'Friday Night Plan' directed by Vatsal Neelakantan. The web series went on floors over the weekend.
As per Mid-day reports, the makers were in talks with the young actor for a long time. The team has cordoned off the area around Grand Hotel in south Mumbai for the shoot which they filmed through the night. It is also being reported that the unit will shoot in different parts of the city over the next two weeks.

However, further details about the upcoming series are kept under wraps. The makers have been guarded, ensuring that word about the series does not get out, meanwhile, it is touted to be an intense drama.
Meanwhile, the upcoming web series will be the fourth project that Babil has signed up for if reports are to be believed. He is all set to make his debut with director Anvita Dutt’s Qala. Bankrolled by Anushka Sharma under her production banner Clean Slate Filmz, the film also has Triptii Dimri and Swastika Mukherjee . The film will release on the OTT platform Netflix . Besides it, the 24-year-old actor will feature alongside veterans Kay Kay Menon , R Madhavan and Mirzapur fame Divyenndu Sharma in The Railway Man. The film is said to be based on the true incident of the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy.
Apart from these, Babil has also revealed that he has signed Shoojit Sircar’s upcoming project As per reports, the ace filmmaker has signed him alongside Amitabh Bachchan for his next production venture which will be directed by Sweden-based filmmaker, Pooja Kaul. The film has reportedly already gone to floors across Lucknow over a 20-day schedule.
Recently, Babil wrote a heartfelt note dedicated to his late father Irrfan Khan on his second death anniversary. Irrfan died on April 29, 2020, after a prolonged battle with a neuroendocrine tumor.
