IIFA 2023: Kamal Haasan to receive outstanding achievement in Indian Cinema award

Veteran actor Kamal Haasan will be honored with the outstanding achievement in Indian Cinema award at this year's IIFK awards.
The actor began his career at the age of six, in the 1960 Tamil film 'Kalathur Kannamma, He would go on to act in over 90 films.
Kamal Hassan who is currently busy with Shankar's Indian 2 praised director Shankar on his work in the sequel after watching an early rough cut of the movie.
The cast and crew of Indian 2 have recently wrapped up the South African schedule of the movie and are now preparing for the next schedule.

Indian 2 is the sequel to the 1996 vigilante thriller and was the highest-grossing movie of the year, The movie was India's official entry for the Oscars that year and also won three National Awards including Best Actor.
According to a new report the makers of the movie are planning on a 2024 Pongal release for the movie which means it will clash with Prabha's science fiction movie Project K and Suriya's period drama Kanguva.
In the movie, Kamal Haasan played the role of Senapathy a former freedom fighter turned vigilante who wants to root out corruption.
