Identity Teaser: Tovino Thomas and Trisha are in search of a 'pentagon-faced' mystery man in his next thriller

The wait is over! The highly anticipated teaser of the Tovino Thomas and Trisha-starrer Identity has been officially released. Directed by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan, the film features Tovino Thomas, Trisha, Vinay Rai, and Mandira Bedi in pivotal roles.

Tamil actor Karthi, who unveiled the teaser on his social media pages, shared the new glimpse and wrote, “Super excited for this one🔥. Good luck @ttovino, @trishtrashers & the whole #Identity team.”

The teaser opens with Tovino Thomas’ character, Haran Shankar, a criminal sketch artist. In one scene, he asks Trisha’s character to describe the facial structure of an unidentified person. She responds with "pentagon-shaped," leaving him visibly surprised. The teaser then transitions to various characters in the film, including Mandira Bedi, Aju Varghese, and Vinay Rai.

Throughout the teaser, Trisha’s character's description of the unidentified person plays in the background: "A square-shaped face with a chin that extends down like a corner." The intriguing thriller carries subtle undertones of Forensic, the previous collaboration between the director duo and Tovino Thomas. However, Identity promises a more gripping experience, thanks to its stellar cast.

About Identity

The upcoming film, directed by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan—the duo behind the 2020 Tovino Thomas-led Forensic—is a two-part action thriller featuring Tovino Thomas, South Indian icon Trisha, and Vinay Rai in lead roles. The star-studded cast also includes Bollywood actress Mandira Bedi, Shammy Thilakan, Aju Varghese, Arjun Radhakrishnan, and Archana Kavi.

Jointly produced by Century Films and Ragam Movies, the film boasts Akhil George's cinematography and Chaman Chakko's editing.

Director Akhil Paul has clarified that Identity is neither a spy thriller nor connected to their previous investigative drama, Forensic.

Set for January 2025 release, the thriller will be dubbed in five languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
