Identity: Teaser of Tovino Thomas and Trisha’s action thriller to release on THIS date

After the blockbuster success of the period drama Ajayante Randam Moshanam, Malayalam star Tovino Thomas is all set to entertain his fans with his upcoming highly anticipated film Identity. While the makers had wrapped up the principal photography of the film, they have now announced that the official teaser will be released on December 4, 2024.

Sharing the latest update, the makers of the film revealed an intriguing poster featuring the leading man Tovino and wrote,“Official Teaser Dropping on 04.12.24!! #IDENTITY Loading... an @akhilpaul_ #anaskhan film.”

Earlier, actor Vinay Rai had shared an update confirming that the makers had wrapped up the shoot for the film. Sharing a heartwarming post, he wrote, “Marching on to the last few days of the shoot, and it’s a wrap for @vinayrai79 sir’s portion in IDENTITY! Sir, from the day you heard this script on September 23, 2022, your energy became a big part of this film. You made these past 52 days of your shoot extremely memorable. You were insanely fun to work with, and we can never thank you enough for delivering your very best for Allen Jacob and IDENTITY! Much love to you, sir, from Team IDENTITY, and we shall surely continue together on this journey! Like the last dialogue you shot for this movie, ‘This isn’t over!’” — hinting at a potential sequel in the works.

About Identity

The upcoming film, directed and co-written by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan—the duo behind the 2020 Tovino Thomas starrer Forensic—is set to be a two-part action thriller featuring Tovino Thomas, South Indian star Trisha, and Vinay Rai in lead roles. The ensemble cast also includes Bollywood actress Mandira Bedi, Shammy Thilakan, Aju Varghese, Arjun Radhakrishnan, and Archana Kavi.

Produced by Century Films and Ragam Movies, the film boasts Akhil George as the cinematographer and Chaman Chakko as the editor.

Director Akhil Paul has clarified that this film is neither a spy thriller nor linked to their previous investigative project, Forensic.

Slated for release later this year, the thriller will be dubbed in five languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
