I am Kathalan release date: Here’s when Naslen and Girish AD’s film will be out!

After a blockbuster outing with the romantic comedy-drama Premalu, rising star Naslen and hitmaker Girish AD are set to return with their upcoming film I Am Kathalan, and the release date of the film has finally been announced! The makers took to social media to reveal that the new-age drama will hit the big screen on November 7, 2024.

Sharing the announcement, they wrote, "Worldwide release on 7th November 2024. Trailer coming soon."

Directed by the popular filmmaker Girish AD, the upcoming film takes a different approach from his previous romantic comedies. The director revealed that this project will include elements of a crime thriller and adopt a more serious tone. "Although it steps into the thriller genre, I wouldn’t call it a 'dark thriller.' The story is mainly told through humor and has some surprises in store for the latter half," he explained.

I Am Kathalan marks Girish AD’s fourth collaboration with Naslen, following their successful films Thaneermathan Dinangal, Super Sharanya, and Premalu.

In addition to Naslen, Anishma Anilkumar, known for her role in Vineeth Vasudevan's Poovan, will play the female lead. The cast also features Dileesh Pothan, Lijomol Jose, Kavitha, TG Ravi, Sajin, and Vineeth Viswam in prominent roles. The film is produced by Dr. Paul Varghese and Krishnamoorthy, in association with Dream Big Films. On the technical side, the screenplay is written by Sajin Cherukayil, while Sharan Velayudhan and Akash Joseph Varghese handle cinematography and editing, respectively. The original background score and soundtrack are composed by Sidharth Pradeep.

Meanwhile, the rising Malayalam star Naslen is also in talks to make his Kollywood debut in Ajith's upcoming film Good Bad Ugly.
