Housefull 5: Akshay Kumar-Riteish Deshmukh starrer release date pushed to 2025 due to THIS reason
Taking to Instagram, Akshay shared the poster of the film and wrote, “5 times the entertainment is on its way! See you in cinemas on 6th June 2025.”
Ever since Akshay Kumar announced the fifth instalment of his comedy franchise Housefull, fans have been eagerly waiting for the film. The makers have earlier informed that the film will arrive in theatres on Diwali 2024. However, fans have to wait a little longer as the makers have postponed the release date. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on June 6, 2025.
Taking to Instagram, Akshay shared the poster of the film and wrote, “5 times the entertainment is on its way! See you in cinemas on 6th June 2025.” The makers also released an official statement informing about the reason for the postponement. “The Houseful! franchise owes its massive success to the audiences, and we hope for a similar reception for Houseful! 5. The team has crafted an absolutely mind-blowing story that demands top-notch VFX. Therefore, we've made the decision to push the release to ensure we deliver five times the entertainment with great cinematic experience,” read the statement.
Earlier, Akshay made the announcement poster with the caption that read, “Get ready for FIVE times the madness! Bringing to y'all #SajidNadiadwala’s #Housefull5 Directed by @Tarunmansukhani See you in cinemas on Diwali 2024! @Riteishd @NGEMovies @WardaNadiadwala.”Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film will retain actor Riteish Deshmukh from the franchise, while the rest of the cast members are yet to be decided.
Meanwhile, Housefull’s first instalment starred Arjun Rampal, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone, Jiah Khan, Boman Irani and Chunky Pandey alongside Akshay and Riteish. The second instalment had John Abraham with Asin and Jacqueline Fernandez. Late Rishi Kapoor was also a part of the film. Housefull 3 added Abhishek Bachchan, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon. Housefull 4 saw a whole new cast line which included Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde and Kriti Kharbanda while Akshay and Ritiesh remained unchanged.
