Even though he is yet to begin his journey in showbiz, he is already a part of a bunch-full of prestigious assignments. We are indeed talking about superstar Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan. Only yesterday, we had reported about Maharaj, his debut film on OTT having reportedly got a release date. This time round, the news is about the reported progress of his next film, which he has signed, which has Khushi Kapoor as the leading lady.

As per a source-based report in Mid Day, it has been stated that, Junaid Khan has already started the shooting of his next film in Mira Road. The report stated that, originally, the start date of the film’s shooting was supposed to be in June. But, keeping in mind the promotional commitments of Junaid Khan towards his OTT debut Maharaj, the shoot has been preponed to the month of May.

As for the film, it has been said that the said film (with that of Khushi Kapoor) happens to be a remake of the film Love Today, the Tamil film which was released in the year 2022, and had turned out to be a huge hit at the box office. The said film was directed by Pradeep Ranganatha, who had also acted in it.

As for the Junaid Khan starrer, the film is being produced by Shristi Behl and Phantom Films. And, the man who will be directing the film will be none other than Advait Chandan, who had made Secret Superstar and also Laal Singh Chaddha, both with Aamir Khan!

As for Junaid Khan’s OTT debut Maharaj, a recent source-based report in Pinkvilla had stated that it will be premiered on Netflix. And the date which has been decided for the same is June 14, 2024. And as far as the story’s plot is concerned, reports state that it has been ‘set against the backdrop of the 1862 Maharaja Libel Case’.
