    Happy Birthday Disha Patani

Happy birthday, Disha Patani! On the special occasion of the Bollywood diva’s birthday, the makers of Kalki 2898 AD took to their social media handles to introduce her character poster. Celebrating Disha's birthday, the makers introduced her character ‘Roxie’ from Prabhas' film. The new character poster features the actress sporting a stylish dystopian outfit while leaning against the entrance of a door in what appears to be a futuristic room. The new character poster of the actress evokes futuristic spy vibes, as the actress is rumoured to be playing the role of a spy, according to fan theories.

Disha Patani returns to Tollywood with Kalki 2898 AD

Kalki 2898 AD, the upcoming sci-fi action thriller, also marks Disha Patani’s return to Tollywood. The actress’ last Telugu film was director Puri Jagannadh's Loafer, which was, interestingly, her debut film as well. The actress is making a return to Telugu cinema after a gap of 9 years.

Kalki 2898 AD's trailer combines the dystopian era and Mahabharata

The trailer of the upcoming sci-fi action thriller, which was released earlier, opened up many fan theories and assumptions. The extravagant trailer began by showcasing the distant land of Kashi, which now has all the amenities that humans once enjoyed—like food, water, and shelter—while people from faraway lands are seen suffering and deprived of these necessities.

The common people are seen bowing down to the leader, played by Saswata Chatterjee, who believes himself superior to all. The trailer then introduces Deepika Padukone, carrying a child destined to change the future. Amitabh Bachchan’s Ashwatthama aids Deepika’s character in the glimpse. Upon learning of this potential threat, the supreme leader sets out to capture her.

Prabhas, as Bhairava, appears in a stylish role and is determined to protect the mother-to-be. The intriguing trailer reimagines the Mahabharata in a dystopian setting. We also get a glimpse of actress Shobana and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan as Kali.

Kalki 2898 AD is slated to have a worldwide release on June 27, 2024.
