Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil: Prithiviraj and Basil Joseph starrer officially starts filming

Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil has officially started film today, the movie is directed by Vipin Das known for helming Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey.

The movie starred Basil Joseph and Darshana Rajendran in the lead and was one of the most critically and commercially successful Malayalam movies of 2022.

Grossing an impressive 45 crores at the box office on a budget of 5 crores, so movie fans were delighted by the news that Prithviraj and Basil Joseph will be sharing the screen for the first time in Vipin Das's next movie.

The movie is being produced by Prithviraj Productions in association with E4 Entertainment and the script will be written by Deepu Pradeep, who also wrote the script for Basil Joseph's directorial debut Kunjiramayanam.

While the plot remains under wraps, it was revealed that Prithviraj will be playing the Villian in the movie, which has got fans super excited.

Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil will be director Vipin Das's fourth movie, he made his directorial debut in 2016 with the romantic comedy Mudhugauv, and he directed two movies in 2022 Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey as well the investigation thriller Antakshari.

Basil Joseph has three other projects lined up for 2023 they are Kadina Kadoramee Andakadaham, Cup, and Ajayante Randam Moshanam.

As for Prithviraj has four other Malayalam movies that are coming out in 2023 which are Aadujeevitham, Khalifa, Vilayath Buddha, Double Mohanan, and Kaaliyan.

He will also be appearing in the Telugu movie Salaar and the Hindi movie Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The actor will also be busy with his third directorial venture L2: Empuraan.

The movie is a sequel to Lucifer. 2019s Lucifer which starred Mohanlal and marked Prithviraj's directorial debut is the highest-grossing Malayalam movie of all time.

In a recent interview, director Prithviraj revealed that the movie will both be a prequel and sequel to 2019s Lucifer.

The movie will focus on how Stephen Nedumpally rose through the ranks of the international criminal underworld as well focus on the events that take place after the events of Lucifer.
