Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 Zoe Saldana aka Gamora reveals new BTS photo

Guardians of the Galaxy star Zoe Saldana took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes picture of her in full makeup as Gomora, as well a few pictures of her on set. The shooting for the third volume began in November.

The future of the franchise was put on hold when James Gunn was fired by Disney in 2018, a decision that did not go over well with the cast or fans. However, he was rehired within a few months.

While the plot of the movie is still unknown we do know that Adam Warlock will play a big part in the story being portrayed by Will Poulter as well Slyvester Stallone returning as Stakar Ogord.

Gamora was scarified by Thanos for the Soul Stone in Avengers Infinity War in Vomir. She did return in Avengers Endgame but not due to snap by Hulk which brought back half the population which had vanished. Gamora from the past time travelled with Thanos only to betray him in the final war. 

With this change in character where she barely knows her fellow Guardians of the Galaxy, it would be interesting to see where her character goes in Volume 3.

The rest of the main cast will be returning as well Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax, and Pom Klementieff as Mantis along with Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel voicing Rocket and Groot respectively.

GOTG Vol. 3 is set to release in cinemas on May 5, 2023.
