Goodbye trailer: Rashmika Mandanna shines in her Bollywood debut; Big B and Neena Gupta prove their worth yet again
The much awaited trailer of Rashmika Mandanna, Amitabh Bachchan and Neena Gupta’s Goodbye is finally here, and we can assure you that it is one of a kind.
When it was announced that Rashmika Mandanna will be making her big debut in Bollywood with Goodbye , fans were delighted about seeing the National Crush in her first ever Hindi film. Then it was revealed that this project will also mark Amitabh Bachchan and Neena Gupta ’s first film together. Right then many predicted that it would be a hit. But none of us could guess what this Vikas Bahl directorial was going to be about. Much to our delight, the trailer is now out and we can bet this is far better than anything you expected.
The trailer begins with Big B arguing with his daughter Rashmika. Meanwhile his wife, played by Neena, applies hair dye on his head. Then all of a sudden, she’s no more. Rashmika returns home and is annoyed with the customs that her family members are following to say goodbye to her mother. On top of that there is constant nok jhok with her on-screen father, which is quite relatable. Amitabh also has two sons-- while one lies about being stuck in Dubai, the other played by Pavail Gulati reaches on time with his American wife. But it is his on-screen chemistry with Rashmika which steals the show, because they look like an actual father-daughter pair who are always bickering because of their different opinions.
Then there is Sunil Grover, who is a treat as always. After watching the trailer, we can assure you that this family comedy-drama is one of a kind. It sensitively handles the interesting plot with just the right amount of humor. Perfectly balanced. While Rashmika shines in her debut and leaves us in awe of her dialogue delivery through this trailer, Amitabh Bachchan and Neena Gupta prove once again that they are two of the biggest gems of our film industry. Well, we can’t wait to see this family bond on the big screen when Goodbye arrives in theatres on 7th October.
