    Known for films like Golmaal, Hungama, actor Rimi Sen has filed a complaint against Mumbai-based businessman for cheating her of over Rs 4 crore.

    Bollywood actor Rimi Sen claims to have been cheated of over Rs 4 crore by a Goregaon-based businessman. The actor, who is originally known as Rimmi Subhamietra Sen, said the man has cheated on her in the name of investment.

    The Golmaal actor has filed an FIR against the businessman named Raunak Jatin Vyas, at Khar Police Station in Mumbai for allegedly duping her of Rs 4.14 crore. In her complaint, the actor said that she met Vyas three years before when they became friends. She was then offered an investment proposal by Vyas in his new venture on the pretext of good returns. Later, the actor found out that she was cheated as the businessman did not start any new venture.

    As per Hindustan Times reports, the Hungama actor had met Vyas at a gym in 2019. The investment he offered to the actor was through his family firm Fomingo Beverages. The two have also discussed the prospects and had signed an agreement. It is being reported that the actor had also received a cheque with a security amount of Rs. 3.50 crores from him at that time.

    Later, the actor reportedly transferred over Rs 4 crores to Vyas’s account on the promise of 40 percent returns. However, she failed to get the money within the time promised by Vyas. She then decided to deposit the cheque he had previously given her, however, she found the account closed and also realized that she was cheated by Vyas since he had never started any business project.

    Meanwhile, Rimi Sen has been part of many films in the Hindi, Bengali, and Telegu film industry. In Bollywood, she has acted in movies like Garam Masala, Dhoom , Phir Hera Pheri , Baghban , Kyun Ki, Hungama, and Golmaal. She was also part of the popular reality TV show Big Boss in 2015.
