After a long gap, Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan has finally unveiled an exciting update from his upcoming film Get-Set Baby. The actor took to his social media handles to share the first-look poster of the film. Directed by Vinay Govind, the upcoming film is touted to be a comedy-drama, with Nikhila Vimal playing Unni Mukundan’s love interest.

In the new first-look poster, lead actors Unni Mukundan and Nikhila Vimal share a heartwarming moment with their pet dog as they sit together to click a selfie. Although it's unsure if they are playing a married couple in the movie, the poster hints that they might be parents to their pet dog. The new vibrant poster is showcased in the form of a puzzle. 

Earlier, the makers had launched the project with the release of its motion poster, featuring Unni Mukundan as an IVF specialist. However, the new poster showcases the actor in a new avatar, piquing curiosity among fans. Nonetheless, the new poster has been receiving lots of love from fans who cannot wait to watch Unni Mukundan essay a feel-good role after a long hiatus.

Get-Set Baby plot

Directed by Vinay Govind, the upcoming Unni Mukundan-starrer is a dramedy which is set to explore the life of an IVF specialist, the challenges he faces, and how he resolves the problems, narrated in a light-hearted way. According to the makers, Nikhila Vimal plays an ambitious and vulnerable character in the movie.

In an earlier interview, Unni revealed that he enjoys working on films that are socially relevant yet entertaining. The movie is said to strike the perfect balance between conveying an emotional story and offering commercial entertainment.

Besides the lead cast, the movie will also feature Chemban Vinod Jose, Johny Antony, Meera Vasudevan, Shyam Mohan, Surabhi Lakshmi, Muthumani Somasundaran, Sudheesh, Punya Elizabeth, Dinesh Prabhakar, Fara Shibla, Bhagath Manuel, and Jewel Mary, among others. 

YV Rajesh and Anoop Ravindran have penned the screenplay for this dramedy. Popular editor-director Mahesh Narayanan will be handling the editing of the film, and Alex J Pulickal will handle the cinematography department. Sam CS is set to score the original background score and soundtrack for the movie.
