Garudan OTT release update: Here’s when Soori-starrer is expected to make its digital debut

Tamil actor Soori’s latest outing Garudan emerged to be one of the biggest blockbusters that Tamil cinema witnessed in 2024. Directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar, the rural action drama revolves around Soori's role, who plays a henchman to Sasikumar and Unni Mukundan’s characters. The film, which hit the big screens on May 31, 2024, and received overwhelming responses, is now all set to make its digital debut soon! 

Soori's Garudan on OTT

Starring Soori, Sasikumar and Unni Mukundan in the lead roles, the Tamil action drama’s OTT rights have been acquired by Amazon Prime Video. Although the makers are yet to make an official announcement on the same, the latest reports reveal that the film will be arriving on the OTT platform on July 7, 2024. The film is expected to be available in multiple languages including Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. An official confirmation on the same is awaited.

Soori on the success of Garudan

Post the release of Soori’s film, the movie received overwhelming reviews from audiences and critics, alike, who hailed the actor for delivering yet another hit post Viduthalai Part 1. After receiving positive feedback, the actor took to his social media handles to share a heartfelt video expressing his gratitude. “I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible support and love that has made Garudan a blockbuster hit. Thank you to everyone, especially the press, media, fans, and audience for making this release week an unforgettable milestone in my life. Your unwavering support means the world to us,” the actor said.

Besides the lead cast, Garudan also stars Sshivada, Revathi Sharma, Samuthirakani, Motta Rajendran, Roshini Haripriyan, and Mime Gopi in prominent roles. On the technical front, the film's music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with Arthur A. Wilson cranking the camera. 

On the work front, Soori has director Ram’s Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai and director Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai Part 2 in the pipeline.
