Gaganachari: Gokul Suresh and Anarkali Marikar’s sci-fi mockumentary to have a pan-India release on THIS date

Following the positive responses after the Kerala release, the latest Malayalam sci-fi mockumentary Gaganachari, starring Gokul Suresh and Anarkali Marikar, is gearing up for a pan-India release. The makers of the sci-fi mockumentary took to their social media handles to share the latest update and revealed that the film will have a pan-India release on July 5, 2024.  

Gaganachari to have a pan-India release

The film's impressive theatrical reception has led to an overwhelming demand for it to be shown in more regions across India, which has now prompted the filmmakers to announce a pan-India release. 

The makers of the film have joined forces with the prestigious banner Gemini Film Circuit to release the movie in other regions outside Kerala. Sharing the update, the makers wrote, “#GAGANACHARI proves that humble beginnings can soar to incredible heights with the power of collaboration. We’ve been inundated with requests for a wider release, and we heard you loud and clear. The legendary Gemini Films is teaming up with Ajith Vinayaka Films to bring Gaganachari to its rest of India release. We're proud to join forces with Gemini, and we’re taking Gaganachari to new heights. The sky’s the limit!”

Directed by Arun Chandu, the sci-fi mockumentary starring Gokul Suresh and Anarkali Marikar revolves around an alien invasion in a dystopian state. The movie focusses on the humorous chaos that unfolds after a female extraterrestrial, who is on the run, turns up at an apartment of three bachelors. The movie also stars Aju Varghese and, Ganesh Kumar in key roles.

Gaganachari universe expands!

Following the success of Gaganachari, the makers of the film recently decided to expand the sci-fi franchise by creating Mollywood’s very own sci-fi universe. They announced that Malayalam star Suresh Gopi will be joining the sci-fi universe and unveiled the title of the new film from the franchise, which will have Suresh Gopi playing the titular role – Maniyan Chittappan. More details of the sequel will be disclosed soon.
