Gadar 2 Vs OMG 2 Box Office: Sunny Deol or Akshay Kumar, who will emerge victorious in this epic clash?

All eyes are on the epic box office clash which will take place between Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 and the Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 this coming weekend. Both movies will be released in the theatres this Friday (August 11). Now, let us find out which film has more chance of setting the cash registers ringing on the basis of the advance box office collections.

Talking about the same, according to a news report in Sacnilk, Gadar 2 is definitely witnessing an astounding result. It has sold 1,54,179 tickets for day one and is expected to see a double-digit on its opening day. The Sunny Deol film has earned Rs 3.96 crore through its advance booking. The news report also added that the advance booking of the Anil Sharma directorial has been the highest in Delhi wherein it contributed to 23 percent of the advance bookings with 450 shows. Gadar 2 has reportedly collected Rs 96.28 lakh from the advance booking in Delhi. The advance collections have also been impressive in other cities like Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata.

On the other hand, Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 is not receiving an underwhelming response but it's definitely lagging behind the Sunny Deol starrer. According to a news report in Sacnilk, the movie has sold 20,321 tickets for the first day through advance bookings. It has earned Rs 62.51 lakh through the advance booking which is much lower than Gadar 2. The advance booking in Delhi seems to be the main contributing factor for OMG 2 also followed by the other cities.

Well, it is quite evident that according to the early estimates of the advance bookings, Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 has an upper hand over Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 at the box office. Gadar 2 will also have Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma reprise their roles from the original blockbuster. While OMG 2 will see Pankaj Tripathi in a lead role.
