    What is Footage all about?

Director Saiju Sreedharan’s film Footage is set to introduce the found-footage style of storytelling for the first time in Malayalam cinema. For the unversed, found footage is a film technique where the entire movie or a major portion of it is depicted as though it consists of video recordings made by characters within the narrative, which are subsequently ‘discovered’ and showcased to the audience.

Footage stars Manju Warrier, Vishakh Nair, Gayathri Ashok, the late actor Mamukoya, and Nanjiamma, among others. Director Saiju is also in charge of the editing of the film, with the original background score and soundtracks scored by popular composer Sushin Shyam.

Footage also marks editor-turned-director Saiju Sreedharan's debut as a filmmaker. Saiju is popularly known for his work in Kumbalangi Nights, Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25, and Anjaam Pathiraa, among others.
