Enough cameos for Shah Rukh Khan, now a South mega star has been roped in for a guest appearance in his film Jawan
Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan cast just expanded with a filmmaker Atlee's favourite South star joining in for a cameo.
Shah Rukh Khan has two action extravaganzas in his arsenal and the fans are counting days till are able to watch either on in cinemas. The Bollywood superstar who has been missing from the big screen for the past few years is currently working on wrapping up his film Jawan which is helmed by filmmaker Atlee .
The film will hit cinemas in 2023 and much like Pathaan, looks like Jawan too comes packing big surprises. According to recent reports, Tamil movie star, Vijay who has been a favourite of filmmaker Atlee, has been added to the cast of Shah Rukh led Jawan.
Before you expect a major announcement of Vijay’s casting though, you should know that the Bigil actor has been asked to make a cameo appearance only in the pan-Indian film. Vijay apparently caught up with Shah Rukh in Chennai while both actors were there shooting for their respective upcoming projects.
According to a report in, The Federal, Vijay who is shooting for Vaisu met the Bollywood star on the Jawan sets but is still to get a narration for his cameo in the movie from filmmaker Atlee.
Vijay has previously headlined Atlee’s films like Bigil, Mersal, and Tehri.
Apart from Vijay, Jawan has a few more South stars that have heightened the excitement for the project. Atlee’s film stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani in key roles. Bollywood actress, Deepika Padukone is also reportedly making a cameo in the film in a flashback sequence as Shah Rukh’s wife in Jawan.
The project is touted to feature Shah Rukh Khan in a double role and the teaser alone has garnered 29 million views on YouTube. Jawan has set 2 June, 2023 as the date for its theatrical release while his film Pathaan is lined up for release in January.
Apart from Jawan, Shah Rukh simultaneously has Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki in the works for which he has already wrapped up a few schedules.
