Dunki starts a meme fest
Shah Rukh Khan’s third offering of the year Dunki finally released in the theatres today (December 21). While some fans of the superstar hailed it to be a wonderful watch, it seems like others were not quite impressed. Not only this but some netizens started a meme fest on X while brutally trolling the film.
Talking about the same, a netizen stated that it is better to watch Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal or the Prabhas starrer Salaar than Dunki. A user showed the plight of the audience who went to watch the movie with their hard-earned money using a still from the Farhan Akhtar starrer Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Take a look at some of the memes.
A disappointed netizen stated, “Rajkumar hirani never disappoints audience ? Yes but this time he failed to do so. Just watched #dunki literally I have no words it’s just a bunch of overacting nothing else no emotion no drama only overacting. 0/5 star.” Some section of X have been trending SRK’s Disaster Donkey on Twitter which mostly includes fans of Salman Khan. These netizens have claimed that the trend is in retaliation for Shah Rukh’s fans allegedly spreading negativity for Tiger 3. Well, the ongoing fan wars are seemingly doing Dunki more harm.
The movie marks the first collaboration between Shah Rukh and director Rajkumar Hirani. It also stars Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover in the lead roles. Vicky Kaushal will be seen in a cameo appearance in Dunki. An X user also live-streamed the first 50 minutes of the movie before the video was taken down. The stream had garnered 137000 viewers at one point of time. The film is being predicted to mint Rs 38 to 40 crore in its opening day. Well, it will be interesting to see whether Dunki manages to taste similar success like Pathaan and Jawan.
