The makers also announced that they are officially commencing the filming on May 5.
Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon
Helmed by Oh My Kadavule-fame director Ashwath Marimuthu, the upcoming film will mark the director-actor’s maiden collaboration. When the project was announced earlier, the makers dropped an interesting announcement video which featured Love Today star Pradeep Ranaganathan in a college, revealing how he and Ashwath have been dreaming of collaborating on a project since their college days. It turns out that their friendship goes way back as the actor-director duo studied at the same college. In the announcement video, Pradeep reveals that their dream is finally coming true after 10 years, as they are now teaming up for the film.
Upon its release, the video was well-received with fans eagerly awaiting to witness the dream collaboration finally taking place.
Earlier, there were several speculations that Dragon was a revamped version of the script that was earlier narrated to actor Silambarasan, with whom Ashwath had plans of collaborating. However, the director later clarified that although he had narrated a story to the Tamil star, it was a completely different story and had nothing to do with the new project. “The script I had narrated for Silambarasan TR is different and the script we are working on for Pradeep Ranganathan is entirely different,” the director revealed.
On the other hand, Pradeep is busy with a couple of interesting projects in the lineup. He will be seen in Vignesh Sivan’s romantic drama LIC: Love Insurance Corporation and has also signed another project with debutant Keerthiswaran, who had previously worked as an assistant director of director Sudha Kongara.
