    There’s hardly a month left for the release of the highly anticipated Telugu entertainer Double iSmart. The film, directed by Puri Jagannadh, stars Ram Pothineni, who reprises his role as Shankar from the first installment, iSmart Shankar. Billed as an action entertainer, the film is set to be released on Independence Day (August 15). The latest update from the movie is that the OTT rights to the film have been sold to a major streaming platform for a massive price. Read on to find out!

    According to the latest reports, the digital rights for Ram Pothineni's film have been sold to Amazon Prime Video for a whopping Rs 33 crore. The film’s production team shared that the OTT giant has acquired the film’s OTT rights, and it will be available for streaming in multiple languages after its theatrical run.

    The teaser for Double iSmart reintroduces Shankar as a badass man. However, unlike the first installment, the new glimpse hints at a major face-off between Shankar and Sanjay Dutt’s character, who describes himself as the Big Bull. Overall, the film promises to be a mass entertainer.

    Helmed by Puri Jagannadh, Double iSmart is the sequel to Ram and his 2019 blockbuster hit, iSmart Shankar. The first part was a science fiction action drama that followed the story of an assassin who receives the memories of a slain police officer and is later tasked with helping the authorities in a murder case.

    For the sequel, Ram has undergone a massive physical transformation and is seen sporting a stylish look. Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt plays the antagonist. Kavya Thapar is the female lead, and the movie also stars Bani J, Ali, Getup Sreenu, Sayaji Shinde, Makrand Deshpande, and Temper Vamsi in key roles. 

    Double iSmart will be released in theatres in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada, on August 15.
