Double iSmart: Making-of video offers a sneak peek into Ram Pothineni’s mass action drama | Watch

Ahead of its grand Independence Day release, the makers of Ram Pothineni’s film released a fun-filled, high-energy making-of video. Sharing it on social media, the makers wrote, “Everything that went behind creating a world full of Mental Mass Madness.” Double iSmart is slated to be released on August 15, 2024.

The video showcases behind-the-scenes footage of the lead actors and supporting cast while filming their scenes. While Ram Pothineni and Sanjay Dutt take center stage, the supporting cast, along with director Puri Jagannadh’s antics, are equally entertaining. The video offers a sneak peek into the world of Shankar, where he tackles Big Bull as he tries to obtain his brain’s immortal chip. Ram Pothineni’s insane body transformation

Leading star Ram Pothineni recently shared details of the physical transformation he underwent to play Shankar in the sequel to the 2019 superhit film. Ram revealed that he filmed the climax of Double iSmart in just 7 days and mentioned that the sequence was extremely intense. “After Skanda (2023), I began shooting for Double iSmart in November. We started with the climax,” the actor shared. 

Ram reportedly dedicated two months to getting in shape and transforming his body. He travelled to Bali, Indonesia, where he focused entirely on his physical transformation. “I had to prepare for the shoot in just two months since we were starting with the climax. Given the intensity of the scene, I had to quickly get ready for the role,” Ram explained, detailing how he shed from 86 kilos to 68 kilos.

Written and directed by Puri Jagannadh, Double iSmart features an ensemble cast including Ram Pothineni, Kavya Thapar, Sanjay Dutt, Sayaji Shinde, Getup Srinu, Gurbani, Mohammad Ali, Makrand Deshpande, Tofan Pirani, and Sundeep Verma, among others.

It was earlier reported that the digital rights for the Ram Pothineni-starrer were sold to Amazon Prime Video for a whopping Rs 33 crore. The production team shared that the OTT giant has acquired the streaming rights, and the film will be available in multiple languages on the platform after its theatrical run.
