Priyanka Chopra and Diljit Dosanjh's film never took off
While speaking to Zoom recently, Boney Kapoor, who made his acting debut in 2023 with Ranbir Kapoor's Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, recalled his plan to team up with Diljit on a film. He shared that the film was planned with PeeCee and Diljit. He was supposed to play the actress' husband. Unfortunately, Priyanka went to the US, and the film never took off.
Boney Kapoor said, "I’m proud of him. I’m very proud of what he has achieved and what he’s achieving. He is risen. In fact, you know, I wanted to cast him in a film which we had planned about six, seven years before Priyanka (Chopra) migrated to the U.S., before Quantico. In fact, she had loved the subject that we were planning."
He further added that they waited for her to return for two years but it didn't work out. Kapoor added, "When I used to speak to her, she said, I have the script next to me, and every night I think of this and imagine myself. In that particular film, we wanted Diljit opposite her, and we had met Diljit and we had told him that you’ll be opposite her in the film, playing her husband. So our relationship is that old… And today again, there’s a God-given opportunity that he will be part of No Entry Part 2."
No Entry sequel will be helmed by Anees Bazmee and it will also star Arjun Kapoor and Varun Dhawan. The first installment featured Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, and Lara Dutta in lead roles. Reportedly, the No Entry sequel will go floors by the end of 2024.
