Dhanush officially announces second collaboration with 'Karnan' director Mari Selvaraj
2021's Karnan is one of the biggest critical and commercial hits of Dhanush's career.

The National award-winning actor Dhanush will be collaborating with director Mari Selvaraj for a second time, The duo's last project together was 2021s Karnan.
Karnan is an action-drama that focuses on the struggle of a poor community against the many injustices they face, the movie was a critical and commercial success.
So far there are no details about the project, but considering both Dhanush's and Mari Selvaraj's track records the project will not disappoint.
Currently, director Mari Selvaraj is promoting his upcoming web series Vaazhai as well as his movie Maamannan a political thriller starring Udhayanidhi Stalin and Fahadh Faasil in the lead.
He also has a movie lineup with Dhruv Vikram, with the actor playing the role of a Kabaddi player, so it will be a while before his project with Dhanush starts production.

Captain Miller will also be the first time Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar will work alongside Dhanush, making Captain Miller his second Tamil movie after Rajinikanth's Jailer.
Dhanush is also basking in the success of his first movie of 2023 the period drama Vaathi which grossed over 118 crores at the box office and is currently streaming on Netflix.
The film was directed by Venky Atluri and is bilingual having been shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.
Dhanush will also be donning the director's cap for the second time this year after the 2017 movie Pa Paandi. The movie will be produced by Dhanush's own production company Wunderbar Films in association with Sun Picture.
Captain Miller is a period drama marking Matheswaran's directorial debut and his first collaboration with Dhanush. The movie is currently being shot in the forest of Tenkashi.
The cast includes Sundeep Kishan, Nivedhithaa Sathish, John Kokken, Priyanka Arulmohan, and Sumesh Moor.
