The film has already been breaking box office records, but what do the first-day-first-show goers think? Check out these tweets before deciding whether to watch the Jr NTR-starrer action flick!

X Reviews of Jr NTR’s Devara

Many users took to their social media pages to praise Jr NTR and the stunt technicians for crafting a visual treat with the action sequences. One user wrote, “DEVARA blew my mind! What an incredible film. The dance, the fights, the cinematography, all of it was epic to the bone! N.T. Rama Rao Jr was electrifying!”

Few fans and netizens were particularly impressed by the cliffhanger climax, which was elevated by Anirudh Ravichander’s banger of a background score. Another user wrote, “The last 20 minutes were packed with a GOOSEBUMPS action block and a surprise. #Devara has all the chances to become a BLOCKBUSTER.”

However, while some fans enjoyed the climax and interval block, many viewers felt the film was blatantly inspired by films such as Baahubali (2015). One user commented, “Copying won’t make you #SSRajamouli or your film Baahubali! Why was Vara killed in #Devara? Everyone can expect such cliffhangers easily, even from the trailer!”

A few users criticized the filmmaker for delivering an average story coupled with only action and stellar visuals. One user wrote, “The ultimate screen presence of #NTR is wasted by a subpar script and below-average execution. None of the technical aspects worked, including the much-hyped underwater sequence and the last 40 minutes. Gives off wannabe Baahubali and Acharya vibes.”

Overall, the film has been receiving mixed responses from viewers. Nevertheless, the hype surrounding the film is very much evident, and fans are flocking to theaters to celebrate Jr NTR’s visual spectacle.

Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara also stars Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, Kalaiyarasan, Murali Sharma, and Abhimanyu Singh in key roles. The film is produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, with music by Anirudh Ravichander.
