Devara Part 1 trailer: Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan promise action-packed visual spectacle

The highly anticipated trailer for Devara: Part 1, starring Telugu superstar Jr NTR, was unveiled on Tuesday in Mumbai. The event was graced by Jr NTR, along with his co-stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, who is presenting the Hindi version of the film, launched the trailer.

Devara promises a grand visual spectacle with an intense face-off between Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan, who portrays the menacing Bhaira. Jr NTR, taking on a dual role in the movie, is set to captivate audiences with his performances.

Based on the trailer, Devara centres on a ruthless tribe of pirates dominating the sea and terrorizing innocent lives. NTR’s character, Devara, rises as a fearless hero determined to defeat Bhaira and his violent men. His mission is to instil a fear of god in the tribe to prevent further harm to humanity. However, the journey comes with great bloodshed and sacrifice, leaving it to Devara’s son, also played by Jr NTR, to complete his father’s legacy. The trailer teases an action-packed film with stunning visuals and high-stakes drama.

It has been a long wait for fans of Tarak, as he was last seen in director SS Rajamouli's global hit RRR, where he shared screen space with Ram Charan. Although Devara went on the floors soon after RRR, production was delayed for various reasons.

Tarak's last solo movie was Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, which came out in 2018.

Written and directed by Koratala Siva, Devara has been mounted on a huge scale. It is an important movie in Koratala's career, as it is touted to be his comeback after the box office disaster of Acharya in 2022.

Devara: Part 1 is set to hit cinemas on September 27.
