Devara: Jr NTR to play dual roles in the action drama? Check out special poster

Ahead of the grand release of Jr NTR’s upcoming film Devara, the makers unveiled a special poster showcasing the leading man in dual roles. The filmmakers took to their social media pages to reveal the new poster, featuring the Telugu star in two distinct characters—one with slightly longer hair and the other with a younger appearance, both giving intense poses. 

Overall, the poster has been creating quite a buzz on social media and further fuels the speculation that Jr NTR will be portraying both the father and son in the action drama. 

Earlier, the makers had revealed the first look and glimpse of Bhaira, played by Saif Ali Khan. The menacing avatar of the Bollywood actor took the internet by storm, and fans are eagerly awaiting to see Jr NTR’s father-son duo clash with Saif’s character in the film. 

Devara Part 1 shoot wrapped up, promotions to kick start soon

Recently, it was announced that Jr NTR has completed shooting his portions for Devara Part 1. Now, the makers have confirmed that the entire film shoot has wrapped up. According to reports, the remaining patchwork scenes were completed on August 26, and the team is now focused on post-production. The film involves extensive VFX work. 

The makers are now gearing up to start promoting the film in the first week of September. Since it's a pan-India release and one of the most highly anticipated projects, they need ample preparation and time to reach audiences across the country. 

Devara cast and plot

Directed by Koratala Siva, the upcoming action-drama stars Jr NTR alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. The story centers around a savior figure, played by Jr NTR, who is tasked with protecting ten coastal villages where a vast treasure is hidden. In addition to the lead cast, the film features Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, Kalaiyarasan, Murali Sharma, and Abhimanyu Singh in supporting roles. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the original background score and soundtrack for the film. 

Devara is slated to be released on September 27, 2024.
