And the most awaited update is here! Happy Birthday, Rajinikanth! On the 74th birthday of the Tamil superstar, the makers of his upcoming film with hitmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie, unveiled a special dance number featuring the leading man shaking a leg to a peppy song.

Sharing the special tribute, filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj wrote, “Happy happy birthday, Thalaivaa @rajinikanth ❤️❤️ Our gift to you from Team #Coolie 🔥🔥💥.”

The new dance promo, titled Chikitu Vibe, showcases a forever young and charming Thalaivar Rajinikanth, aka Deva, dancing to a vibrant number in what appears to be a traditional house, accompanied by several other men. The Tamil superstar exudes charm and energy as the audience falls in love with the veteran actor’s charismatic steps and screen presence. Check out the video here!

According to earlier reports, the makers of Rajinikanth’s multi-starrer gangster action drama are set to release the film on May 1, 2025. The date seems like a perfect choice, as the film could leverage the long weekend to draw more audiences to theaters.

Lokesh Kanagaraj had earlier promised fans that Coolie will feature several prominent names sharing the screen with superstar Rajinikanth. As previously announced, Rajinikanth will portray Deva in the film, alongside a stellar ensemble cast, including Telugu star Akkineni Nagarjuna, Manjummel Boys fame Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, and Kannada star Upendra in this gangster action drama. Adding to the excitement, sources suggest Bollywood icon Aamir Khan may make a significant cameo appearance, although the filmmakers have yet to confirm this.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Lokesh described Coolie as a "perfect pan-Indian film" with revolutionary action sequences, slated for a 2025 release. While remaining tight-lipped about the storyline, he teased Aamir Khan’s potential involvement, encouraging fans to await official confirmation. Lokesh also mentioned that the remaining portions of the film are scheduled to wrap up next year.

Coolie is set to narrate a gripping tale of revenge, chronicling Deva’s journey from childhood to his descent into a life driven by vengeful crime.
