Chiranjeevi shares his take on Waltair Veerayya and Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy clashing at the box office

During a recent promotional event for the release of his upcoming mass action movie Waltair Veerayya , superstar Chiranjeevi addressed the box office clash with Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy .

And assured fans that were was no clash as both movies are made by the same production house Mythri Movie Makers.

He also went on to say that he hoped both movies will be a hit at the box office this year.

During the press event, he said "This is the first time two films from the same production company are releasing simultaneously as producers have confidence in their products."

He also went on to speak about his confidence his the script of Waltair Veerayya and its director and he signed on to the project immediately after hearing the script for the first time.

He said "I was impressed with the story in the first hearing itself and immediately said Okay giving a handshake."

The movie will mark the actor's first collaboration with director K. S. Ravindra, whose last movie Venky Mama which starred Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya was a big hit.

Waltair Veerayya will mark the first on-screen collaboration between Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja , who will be playing the role of ACP Vikram Sagar.

The music for the movie is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, Waltair Veerayya has a total of four songs "Boss Party", "Sridevi Chiranjeevi", "Veerayya Title Song", "Poonakaalu Loading".

The movie is already off to a great start having collected an impressive 88 crores in pre-release businesses.

Waltair Veerayya has an impressive supporting cast that includes Shruti Haasan, Catherine Tresa, Bobby Simha, Rajendra Prasad, Vennela Kishore, and Urvashi Rautela who will be performing in an item number.

Meanhwile Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy has collected a total of 73 crores in pre-release business. The movie V is directed by Gopichand Malineni marking the director's first collaboration with Balakrishna. The movie is also the Telugu debut of Kannada action star Duniya Vijay.

Duniya Vijay will be playing the role of Musali Madugu Pratap Reddy, and Actress Shruti Hassan will be playing the female lead Sandhya, marking the first on-screen pairing with Balakrsihan and Shruti Hassan.

Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy will release on January 13th, 2023.
