Jayam Ravi and Priyanka Mohan’s upcoming family entertainer Brother has finally locked its release date! The makers of the film recently announced that it will hit the big screens during the Diwali festive season. Set to clash with Sivakarthikeyan’s much-anticipated Amaran, Brother will not have a solo release in Tamil Nadu.

Sharing the announcement on social media, the makers wrote, “Festival of Lights, Festival of Love #Brother 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 is all set for Diwali release in theatres on Oct 31st.”

    Brother Teaser

From the earlier released teaser, it can be assumed that the Jayam Ravi starrer is poised to be an out-and-out entertainer. The teaser opens with Rao Ramesh’s character asking Jayam Ravi about his ambitions in life, to which he humorously responds that his main goals are to eat plenty and sleep as much as possible. The video then introduces the various characters, with Priyanka Mohan in the lead female role. Jayam Ravi portrays a laid-back character, reminiscent of his classic role in Santhosh Subramaniam. Overall, the teaser is engaging and suggests that the film will provide Tamil audiences with a refreshing change from the recent trend of violent and gory films, offering a lighthearted, family-friendly comedy instead.
