In an interview, Jayam Ravi revealed that Brother will revive the “old Jayam Ravi” that fans have been waiting to watch. He said, “So, this (Brother) happened two years ago. At that time, I wasn't sure about the story I had read from Rajesh sir (director M. Rajesh). Later, he said that he would prepare another script that suits me.” The actor added, “When he narrated the new script, I was able to recognise what was missing from his previous works. Rajesh is known for comedy films. However, his films are for family audiences. Somewhere, he got carried away by the comedy, and he was able to bring back the family bond in the film.”

The makers are yet to finalise the release date of the film.
