    South Indian diva Trisha is all set to mesmerize audiences with her gripping performance as a cop in her next Telugu web series, titled Brinda. The makers of the web series dropped the trailer today and it has all the essential ingredients to make for a perfect mystery thriller. Written and directed by Surya Manoj Vangala, the show marks Trisha's OTT debut. The series will be available for streaming on SonyLIV starting from August 2, 2024, in multiple languages including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali and Hindi.

    The intriguing trailer begins with Trisha’s character walking out of a police station, saying that she has been suspended since she was incapable of solving a series of murder cases. The trailer then showcases shots of human sacrifices of young women and girls by a group of unknown people. The trailer also features Malayalam actor Indrajith Sukumaran playing a key role. Trisha looks promising as she dons the vulnerable cop avatar in this gripping thriller.

     Directed and written by Surya Manoj Vangala and bankrolled by Adding Advertising LLP, Brinda is touted to be a crime thriller, with Trisha taking the lead role. The screenplay of the series is penned by Surya Manoj Vangala and Padmavathi Malladi. Besides Trisha, the web series also stars Indrajith Sukumaran, Jaya Prakash, Aamani, Ravindra Vijay, Anand Sami, Rakendu Mouli, and others in key roles.  

    On the technical front, the series has an original background score composed by Shakthikanth Karthik, while Avinash Kolla serves as the production designer. Dinesh K Babu is the cinematographer, and Anwar Ali has handled editing.

    In an earlier statement, director Surya Manoj Vangala said, “I am thrilled to bring this series to a pan-India audience. With its suspenseful plot and unexpected twists, Brinda will not only enthrall viewers but also make them reflect on their own beliefs.” 

    He added, “Brinda is a powerful, female-led narrative, and I am extremely happy to direct this series. It's been a pleasure working with Trisha Krishnan, and through Brinda, we hope to redefine the genre and push the envelope in the Telugu industry.”
