Well, it is not a hidden fact that Bollywood’s current situation is pretty much deplorable when it comes to the box office situation and it badly needs a film to be a hit to redeem itself. At the moment, Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmastra and the Hrithik Roshan-Saif Ali Khan starrer Vikram Vedha are being touted as the possible game-changers to reverse this dull streak of Bollywood’s box office. However, in a recent poll conducted between Brahmastra and Yash ’s film KGF: Chapter 2, fans ripped apart Ranbir’s film.
Talking about the same, the poll that was conducted by a paparazzi page questioned fans whether Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra will be able to topple the opening collections of Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2. For the unversed, KGF 2 opened at a whopping Rs 54 crore and went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters of this year. However, fans not only stated that Brahmastra will not be able to achieve that landmark collection but also trolled the Ayan Mukerji directorial film.
Some netizens stated that Brahmastra which is made approximately with a budget of Rs 350 crore will open at only Rs 2 or 5 crore. Another netizen stated, “Add Brahmastra to it!!! Bollywood would be breaking the records of Flops this year.” A user went on to say, “Nice joke” referring to the comparison between the Ranbir Kapoor starrer and Yash’s film. A netizen added, “KGF ki koi barabari nai h yar.” A netizen further mocked Ranbir’s movie stating that it will earn Rs 54 lakh instead of Rs 54 crore.
Well, now only the release date of Brahmastra will determine the fate of the movie at the box office. Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, the movie also stars his wife Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna in the lead roles. It will be released on September 9.
