Bobby Deol heaps praise at Kanguva star Suriya
Bobby Deol, who is quite excited about his debut Tamil film, has always shown admiration for Kanguva's leading man, Suriya. The actor, who was with the cast and crew at a press meet in Mumbai recently, had nothing but praise for the Tamil star, calling him the most-humble person he has ever encountered. Bobby Deol plays the character of Udhiran, the primary antagonist in the film, while Suriya stars as Kanguva.

The actor, who had previously shared that Suriya being the lead was what attracted him to take up the role, referred to the Kanguva star as "My Suriya." He said that when he met the Tamil star for the first time on the sets, it felt like he had always known him and not like they were meeting for the first time. The Animal star said, "When I met my Suriya, it didn’t feel like I was meeting him for the first time on the set. It felt like I had known him for ages, for years. He is such a down-to-earth, humble person, even after being such a big star, and he has strong family values."

He then went on to share a sweet anecdote about bonding with Suriya over coffee and family. He continued, "We would just keep discussing our families. He is also a coffee enthusiast. He loves coffee so much that he would always get really good coffee made. One day, I asked him, 'Where do you get this coffee from?' So, he gifted me some coffee beans. That was a special moment."
Earlier, Bobby Deol mentioned that the first thing that excited him about signing the film was knowing that Suriya would be the main lead. He described working with Suriya as a great experience and expressed that he felt blessed, as if he were living a dream.

Kanguva, starring Bobby Deol, Suriya, and Disha Patani, is set to hit the big screens on Children's Day, November 14, 2024.
