Bloody Daddy teaser: Shahid Kapoor takes up action avatar, packs punches to save his son in Ali Abbas Zafar's thriller

After impressing fans as an artist in Farzi, Shahid Kapoor promises another powerful performance as an action hero. The actor shared the first teaser of his upcoming film, Bloody Daddy , in which he takes down his enemies one by one with guns, punches and knives, in order to save his son. Donned in a black suit, the actor looked fierce and intense as he begins a battle against the drug mafia in the movie.

Taking to Instagram, Shahid dropped the short clip with the caption that read, “Get ready for a BLOODY good time at the movies. #BloodyDaddy releasing on June 9, 2023.” The video also teases fans with a short glimpse of Sanjay Kapoor’s character who is blown away by Shahid’s power-packed avatar. Other characters played by actors Ronit Roy, Diana Penty, and Rajeev Khandelwal were also shown in the short clip. Soon after the video surfaced, one of the netizens reacted, “Farzi ke bad ek aur fire” Another fan wrote, “This was something fire.” While a comment read, “Rocky handsome + John wick ka mixture lag raha hai.” One of the users trolled saying, “Do something original first you copy South movies and now Hollywood movies.”

Helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bloody Daddy is a thriller and is said to be a remake of the French film, Sleepless Nights. A day ago, Shahid shared the first-look poster of the movie, in which he looked intense. Backed by AAZ Films and Offside Entertainment, the film is a direct-to-digital release on June 9, 2023.

Meanwhile, Shahid received rave reviews for his performance in Raj & Dk's directorial Farzi. The series also features KK Menon, Vijay Sethupathi and Raashii Khanna in key roles. Besides Bloody Daddy, the actor also has an untitled romantic drama co-starring Kriti Sanon, which is backed by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films.
