‘Blockbuster... 1000 cr loading’: Devara’s action-packed teaser makes Jr NTR fans ecstatic

After a long wait and anticipation, the teaser of Jr NTR-starrer Devara is finally out. The social media exploded as soon as the first glimpse of the Telugu movie was unveiled on Monday and the hashtag ‘DevaraGlimpse’ began trending on the micro-blogging site, X (formerly Twitter).

The fans of Jr NTR were seen sharing their excitement on social media. A fan wrote: “Pure Goosebumps. RIP each and every single record at Box Office." Another said: “Devara glimpse looks kickasssss! A giant blockbuster is loading. @tarak9999 anna, wishing you another milestone!” There were others who believed that the Koratala Siva directorial would amass nothing less than Rs 1,000 crore at the box office. “Blockbuster... 1000cr Loading,” wrote many.

In a one-minute-twenty-second-long teaser shows a fleet of boats nearing a ship on a cloudy night. As the boats reach the shore and seemingly sea pirates get on the shore, the hero confronts them. Then follows a bloodbath with Jr NTR killing men with a sword and an axe. The teaser ends with Jr NTR washing his feet in the water mixed with blood. The teaser becomes all the more intense with the spooky background music and lyrics warning people to maintain distance from the sea, called the ‘Red Sea’. The video closes with Jr NTR's dialogue, "This sea has seen more blood and weapons than fish. That's why it is called the Red Sea."

The teaser instantly became a hit raking in thousands of views online. Devara also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. The music is by Anirudh Ravichander and R Rathnavelu is the cinematographer. Meanwhile, Devara will be released in the cinema in two parts. While the first would be released on April 5, the release date of the second part is still awaited. Jr NTR had announced the title of the film on his 40th birthday last year,
