Vijay Sethupathi-hosted reality show Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 has finally begun, and the drama has already started brewing with shocking revelations! The new promo that just dropped revealed that the youngest contestant, Sachana Namidass, who was the second contestant to enter the show, has been eliminated just twenty-four hours after entering the house.

New rules, new drama!

In a surprise turn of events, Bigg Boss announced that 18 contestants would face elimination within the first 24 hours; a first in the show's history.

For context, in past seasons, the first week of Bigg Boss has typically been lighthearted, with few, if any, eliminations. However, this season has taken a different direction with new rules and unexpected twists. In a surprising twist, Vijay Sethupathi revealed that one contestant would be eliminated within just 24 hours of entering the house, which has left both participants and fans in shock. Notably, this season follows the men vs women format.

Additionally, during the grand premiere of the show, the male contestants proposed a deal: in exchange for allowing the women access to a more comfortable section of the house, the women agreed not to nominate any of the men for elimination during a week of their choosing. The women accepted the offer, and it appears the men acted on this agreement cleverly. According to the promo and reports, the first contestant to be eliminated is Sachana Namidass, who is seen getting emotional as she breaks her dummy trophy before bidding goodbye to her fellow contestants.

Sachana, the 21-year-old actor, is the youngest contestant in this season of Bigg Boss Tamil. She recently played a key role in Vijay Sethupathi’s Maharaja, which was a box-office hit and became one of the most critically acclaimed films of the year.

Audiences call it 'unfair'

After the promo was released, netizens were upset with the makers’ decision to eliminate Sachana from the show. Many called the decision 'unfair' and 'pointless' as it hadn’t even been 24 hours since they entered the show to prove their caliber. However, some of them believe that Sachana could re-enter as a wild card, and this could be Bigg Boss’ strategy, keeping her hidden in a different space for a surprise return.
