Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8: Netizens say it is ‘Women vs Women’ as Sunita Gogoi locks horn with Jacqueline in Vijay Sethupathi-hosted show

Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 has just begun recently, and the drama seems to have fueled like rapid fire within the first few hours of the show’s debut. The popular reality show began with 18 contestants and has Vijay Sethupathi as the new host. The promos released by Vijay Television for tonight’s show have left viewers in splits, with many netizens finding the men vs. women format of the show hilarious. Here’s why: 

The new promo featured men's team participant Deepak announcing the task, as it becomes clear that one man from their team must enter the women’s house to complete a challenge, and a woman participant must likewise enter the men’s area. However, the promo does not clarify what the specific task will be, which will be revealed tonight on October 8, 2024. 

The promo showcases the men planning and strategizing their potential moves, speculating that Jacqueline may be involved in the challenge from the women’s team. Meanwhile, the women are unwilling to allow the men to participate with Jacqueline, leading to a verbal clash between Jacqueline and Sunita Gogoi, which significantly adds to the drama.  

Sunita Gogoi is seen telling Jacqueline that she is not a suitable person from the women’s team to participate, as Jacqueline is seen running to the restroom crying.

Viewers, on the other hand, find it hilarious that this season’s format is Men vs. Women, while currently, the women are getting pitted against each other, making it seem like the format is women vs. women. One user commented, “The theme is boys vs. girls, but from day one, the theme has been going on like girls vs. girls. Honestly, this whole theme is going to flop harder in future episodes.” 

Bigg Boss drama intensifies

However, the drama did not begin here, as things began to take a turn even since the 24-hour eviction happened the previous day. For context, Vijay Sethupathi announced that one contestant would be eliminated within just 24 hours of entering the house, leaving both participants and fans stunned. Maharaja fame actress Sachana Namidass became the first contestant to be eliminated from the show, leading to fans reacting to the unfair judgment. 

Earlier on the grand premiere, the male contestants made a proposal: if the women allowed them access to a more comfortable area of the house, they would not nominate any of the men for elimination during a week of their choice. The women accepted the deal, but the men cleverly followed through on this arrangement. However, this was not supported by contestants who joined later, leading to intense drama among participants. 

Nonetheless, as the drama unfolds, fans are excited to see what’s in store for the housemates.
