Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3: Will Akshay Kumar join Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan? Anees Bazmee reveals
Ever since Kartik Aaryan welcomed Vidya Balan on board for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, fans have been wondering if Akshay Kumar will make a comeback to the franchise. Well, we finally know the answer
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is undoubtedly one of Kartik Aaryan’s most loved films till date. Not only did he ace the horror comedy genre, but also won hearts with his goofy performance as Rooh Baba and his on-screen chemistry with Kiara Advani. Initially fans were skeptical because the first film in the series was headlined by Vidya Balan and Akshay Kumar, who did a phenomenal job. But Kartik managed to do justice to the standalone sequel. In fact, his Tandav on Ami Je Tomar left audiences in awe, lauding his versatility. Well, for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Kartik will be joining hands with Vidya aka the OG Manjulika.
Sharing the good news on social media yesterday, Kartik wrote: “And its happening 🔥Og Manjulika is coming back to the world of BhoolBhulaiyaa Super thrilled to welcome @balanvidya ❤️🔥This Diwali is going to be crackling #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 🤙🏻👻@aneesbazmee @tseries.official #BhushanKumar.” Fans were obviously excited to witness this duo in action. But many wondered if Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay will return to the franchise as well. Director Anees Bazmee has now solved the mystery. In a chat with Zoom, he confirmed that Akshay will not be a part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
The filmmaker was quoted saying, “No, Akshay is not a part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. I am dying to work with him, but unfortunately, I have not been able to script a film where we could work together. In future, certainly yes.” That will surely break a few hearts. Nevertheless, we can’t wait to see Vidya and Kartik together for the first time ever in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The director has revealed that the team will begin shooting in March, most probably by the second week.
Apart from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Kartik also has Chandu Champion in his kitty. The Kabir Khan directorial follows the story of Paralympic swimmer Murlikant Petkar.
